About
Welcome! I’m Laura Benjamin, a Colorado Springs Career Coach, Mentor, Speaker, Facilitator and publisher of this blog.
I’m glad you’re here and hope you find the tips and articles of great value regardless of where you are in your career transition. I encourage you to come back often, subscribe to the blog via email or feed and don’t miss the signup form for my monthly newsletter. Oh, and yes, please also tell your friends!
Why I Write This Career Coach Blog
I write it because I’ve been on both sides of the employment “desk” and know how frustrating and rewarding it can be to find the work you love. I’ve been a human resources specialist, an outplacement counselor, a team manager and even been an occasional job-seeker. I’ve changed careers a number of times!
I’m also a small business owner with over 13 years experience marketing myself and my business; if I didn’t get good at it over time, my kids would have starved! So I know a thing or two about how to communicate who you are, what you’ve done and what you can do for others. I look for “jobs” and work every day. What self-employed person doesn’t?
